Equipment Qualification
Part of our services include;
- onsite laboratory equipment installation qualification (IQ),
- operational qualification (OQ) and
- performance qualification (PQ).
Regularly carrying out IQ/OQ/PQ plays a central role in ensuring adherence to compliance requirements that have been put in place by your industry.
Installation Qualification
Installation Qualification (IQ) is a well-documented verification process that ensures the correct installation and configuration of your laboratory instruments (based on manufacturer-approved lists as well as government regulations, customer requirements, etc.).
This can include verifying the location of the instrument in the laboratory, ensuring that the instrument has the proper power supply, verifying that the software is installed correctly, checking peripheral connections, recording calibration data, and more.
Operational Qualification
Operational qualification, or OQ, is also common in the quality assurance of laboratory instruments. This step involves testing the instrument to ensure it is operating as specified – service technicians typically refer to the operating range documented by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
In addition to referring to the operating range listed by the OEM, the laboratory operating range must also be adhered to. Some of the areas of focus during an OQ are: deviation reports, performance reports, leveling, calibrations certificates etc
Performance Qualification
Performance qualification is about processing equipment performance under “real-world” conditions within the limits documented by the manufacturer. A detailed test plan is prepared for the PQ to be implemented.
Techlab Limited has assembled a set of test activities to ensure consistent performance of the instrument for its intended use in the laboratory. Once IQ and OQ are implemented, performance qualifications are performed periodically to ensure accurate, repeatable results.
